However, before saying a final goodbye to the world, González, along with his family, planted their final agave harvest in 2006. This harvest was done to release the next expression from Don Julio. Here comes the interesting fact, 'The team of Don Julio created this new expression using the same technique that Don Julio González used to create his brand's first expression in 1942. Don Julio González and his team matured the agaves of this new expression for about seven years. But who would have thought before the release of this expression that Don Julio González would bid farewell to us? After maturing this expression, the Don Julio team publicly announced the name of this expression: Tequila Don Julio Ultima Reserva. During the marketing and promotion of this expression, the brand was referred to as a tribute to Don Julio González's legacy. And, that's how, Don Julio 1942 Ultima Reserva was born. 

Is Don Julio 1942 Ultima Reserva Available in the Market? 

Last year, the brand debuted a limited amount of Ultima Reserva expression, roughly 4,000 cases, through a batch of bottles known as 'Batch 001'. According to close sources, Don Julio is rumored to announce the next batch of limited bottles of Ultima Reserva in the market.
